SUMMARY

The primary duty of the Eastern Regional Manager is to meet or exceed regional sales targets. This person will also manage our Eastern Region, manufacturers' representative organizations and Area Sales Manager. This person will need to interface with our Applications, Systems, and Customer Service departments, to ensure that all customer requirements are met.

 

OVERVIEW

·        Strong capital equipment sales record, plus a strong ability in leadership and communication skills.

·        The individual must be sales-savvy, technologically fluent, and a strong closer.

·        This person must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing with people at all levels, from production floor personnel to top executives.

·        The candidate must live within the territory.

·        Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM is required.

·        This person must be a collaborator and a team builder, both within the Sales department and with other departments throughout the Company.

·        Broad sales experience in capital goods/equipment and systems in the territory.

·        An in-depth understanding of the sales process and experience in managing salespersons and sales through manufacturer’s representatives are required.

·        An interest in and enthusiasm for understanding how customers use production equipment and how the Company can solve customer problems.

·        To meet or exceed the regional sales targets, this person will spend most of the time collaborating with reps, customers, and prospects in the region to obtain orders.

·        Some travel in the region is required, the candidate must have the ability and willingness to travel extensively.


JOB FUNCTIONS

·        Closing orders to meet each year’s budgeted goal.

·        Qualifies business opportunities for technical viability.

·        Enter and maintain open opportunities in CRM.

·        Provide bookings/revenue forecasts monthly.

·        Provide product training for manufacturer’s representatives.

·        Understand local markets and competitors.

·        Support trade shows and seminars

·        Work cooperatively with other Regional Managers on cross-accounts.

·        Work with customers to understand the complete scope of the project.

·        Prepare special reports as needed.

·        Perform other related work and special projects as directed by Management.

·        Obey company policies and procedures and all safety regulations.

·        Keep and maintain an accurate record of travel expenses and submit for reimbursement.

 

         REQUIREMENTS

·        BS in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.

·        Trustworthy/Dependable.

·        Honest.

·        Good people skills.

·        Initiative-taker.

·        Ability to understand customer machine & process requirements.

·        Ability to work with minimal supervision.

·        Elevated level of sales skills

·        Good understanding of computers/software: Microsoft Office etc.

·        Good understanding and willingness to enter data into CRM package.

·        Ability to travel frequently, to customers and corporate office.
